چکیده

Objective: To detect the resistant pattern of uropathogens and find association different factors with resistance in Poonch District Azad Kashmir.
 Study Design: Cross-sectional analytical study.
Place Duration Study: Department Medicine, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital, Rawalakot, from Mar to Aug 2019.
Methodology: Patients having signs symptoms urinary tract infection growth bacteria on urine culture were included study. The antimicrobial susceptibility isolates was determined by using standard, modified Kirby Buer disc diffusion method. Zone sizes interpreted following Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) 2019 guidelines.
Results: 68 culture-positive patients study, 45 (66%) female. There a previous history 44 (64.7%) patients, 52 (76.5%) gave antibiotic use last three months. E. coli commonest organism isolated, followed Klebsiella, Proteus Pseudomonas. All at least one antibiotic, 48 (72%) multi-drug resistant. Uropathogens showed highest Ampicillin 67 (98.5%) lowest Piperacillin/Tazobactam 2 (3%) only. Resistance significantly higher recurrent (p=0.028) antibiotics months (p<0.001).
